Music from Across the Atlantic Concert November 10, 2019
The Beaverton Community Band opens its 40th season with a Fall Concert, “Music from Across the Atlantic,” at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 10, 2019 at Bethel Congregational United Church of Christ, 5150 SW Watson Avenue, Beaverton, OR.
The Beaverton Community Band opens its 2019-2020 season with its
Fall Concert on November 10th. This year’s theme is “Music from Across the Atlantic,” highlighting the music of Europe.
Though the pieces in the program are united by their connection to Europe, they nonetheless will provide the audience with a varied listening experience. Pierre Leemans’ “March of the Belgian Paratroopers,” Holst’s “Jupiter,” and a Rachmaninoff rhapsody are just some of the compositions
featured in the program. In addition, the program also includes several Christmas and Hanukkah selections in preview of the holidays ahead.
Sunday, November 10th, 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M.
Admission: Free. Donations will be accepted for Bethel Congregational United Church of Christ’s Food Programs.
The Beaverton Community Band has performed for the Beaverton community for over 40 years.
The Fall Concert is the first of the band’s season. Other upcoming performances include:

- Spring Concert, Bethel Congregational United Church of Christ, June 7, 2020, 3:00 P.M.
The Beaverton Community Band’s mission is to engage audiences with diverse artistic performances, enlighten the community through music education, and enrich the lives of its members. The band’s members volunteer their time to support music educators throughout the Beaverton School District, to encourage beginning musicians and build a vibrant arts community.
